I slowly made a Bushmaster XM-177 (frankenrifle) out of a PWA preban. Picked up the PWA A1 with 20" barrel at a local gun shop. Decided I wanted the XM177 look and bought an A2 upper with the pinned on faux moderator. After the ban lifted in 2004, I sold the PWA lower to a guy in a perma ban state and bought a Bushmaster lower with collapsible stock. All piecemeal, but all from Windham, ME.

My personal opinion is that there are ...
Quoted: I am looking at a Bushmaster and I have a question or two. I’m wondering how to date it and it’s value. The receiver says - B.F.I Windham ME U.S.A. The upper receiver is a flattop upper. No “T” marks. Am I guessing ...
Last year, when I went looking for a Bushmaster XM15-E2S A3 Target, I only wanted a Windham, ME Bushmaster. I will not buy a new Bushmaster. The original Bushmaster made in Windham, ME was a good quality AR and was one of the better built ARs back in the day along with Colt, Armalite, and DPMS. They were the ABCDs of ARs at one time.
