I switched usb ports for the sensor. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the latest ones. I also rebooted the computer both after uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing seems to work. It's still flashing after trying all of this things. I'm pretty sure I tried everything possible to get it working again. Did I miss something?
Since the Xbox 360 uses different ports than PCs & Macs use, you can't see the effect of a port blockage except on the Xbox. A sequential power cycle is the first step in clearing a port blockage:
