The Katana only has two controls, three if you press the type of delay button at the top. By using the tap, I can change the number of taps with the tap button, but have not been able to get only one repeat.
The edge on a katana and most swords is hard, so it holds a good edge. It will chip, and dull with impact of another blade. THe ideal way is simply to cut them down before they can make a cut. If necessary, the flat or back of the blade is supposed to be used.
