Volvo TAMD 22 is actually the good old Perkins Prima 84mmX89mm 1994 cc four pot direct injection motor. In turbocharged and charge air cooled for was a healthy 76kW or 104.56 SAE Horsepower @ 4,500 rpm.

The TAMD 41A was the first model of the 41 line and its main flaw was low compression. This is the source of White cold start smoke. The white smoke goes away when the engine is warmed up. The after cooler design has a drain cock to dispel moisture.
To the poster saying that a Skippy 25 with a TAMD 41A straight shaft that only got 13.5 knots at 3800 rpm, I know of someone who had a Blackman 26 Express with that package and got the same result.
