It is commonly accepted that some brands of hydromorphone are on the 'safer' side of pills to inject due to lack of harmful fillers and binders, although injecting any pill is dangerous and it is best to use a micron filter.

I have been on Hydromorphone for almost a year now, starting off at 100 2mg's a month, to 100 4mg's a month, & now at 180 4mg's a month. If you're taking Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) by the oral route, it is going to be 4x the potency by weight of the same dosage of Oxycodone. In this case, this would mean 5mg Hydromorphone ->20mg Oxycodone This means if you choose to insufflate the Hydromorphone, the dosage by weight will be 8x the potency of that same oral dosage of Oxycodone.
