Arwen is one of the most favorite characters in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. She was best known for her beauty and alluring charm, but she’s more than just that.
Arwen was briefly mentioned and sang a song in FOTR, but didn't really appear as a full-bodied character until the very end of the ROTK. Until I read "The Silmirillion," and learned about Arwen's incredible, mortal-marrying ancestor Luthien, I thought of Arwen as pretty window-dressing.

I'm not sure whether Arwen would be called Arwen daughter of Elrond, or Arwen daughter of Celebrian though. I also thought that Gilthoniel (Star-kindler), Felagund (hewer of caves) and Undomiel were 'nick-names' rather than titles? And, doesn't Gildor Inglorion mean Gildor son of Inglor?
i mean arwen is like, i just think she's a stupid, elf-wuss. and she's probly a chicken too. coz in the books she didn't do anything at the ford scene, they just threw that in. in the book she just showed up at the end and married aragorn. and eowyn slayed the witch king. i mean seriously.
In the official ROTK photo guide that is available here, I read something very strange: Arwen is ill and dying, and that's why she sends Elrond to bring Andúril to Aragorn! It sounded like a really weird plot change, and I really wonder why PJ put that in. It would explain the famous unexplained...
