The LT50 is next generation technology. If I were buying an SS/DSP Fender amp in that price range I'd consider something updatable that was actively maintained by Fender, like the LT50.

There's also a new 50w version, the LT50, which is just the same amp with 50 watts and a 12" speaker, for $230 instead of the $150 for the LT25. The onboard overdrive and distortion sounds are really good and the clean amp models also sound great with an overdrive pedal in front of the amp.

There's also a Mustang LT50 now, which is a 50 watt 112 version of the LT25, and it has more amp models and effects than the 50XL. I have the LT25, and it's one of my favorite amps, much better than the more expensive GT40, and I like it more than the Katana 50 also.
