192.com is widely known as a directory enquiry provider but has enjoyed terrible criticism in at least one online blog for its charging policy: You get very basic details for free but in order to obtain anything useful you have to purchase "credits" - and from what I have read several if you want to get your number.

I did not consent for these details to be stored even if they are held in the public domain, i mean, they'd be harder to access were they not on 192.com and Peopletracer. I have found how to remove myself from 192 by going to the source of the information but, im a little confused.
I found someone for free on 192.com following this advice..and it's legal lol ...this is copied from the british genealogy site....was originally posted in in 2005 but still works!!

My elderly parents and sister , brother, nephews and nieces also have their address and other details on this website (without their knowledge).
