Poel (German pronunciation: [pøːl]) or Poel Island (German: Insel Poel), is an island in the Baltic Sea. It forms the natural northern and eastern boundaries of the Bay of Wismar on the German coast.
von Wismar aus gelangt man bei Groß Strömkendorf über einen Damm auf die Insel Poel. Das etwa 37 km² große Eiland liegt zwischen dem Salzhaff und der Wohlenberger Wiek in der Wismarbucht. Seit 1997 ist die Insel als Erholungsort und seit 2005 als Seebad staatlich anerkannt.
