The Tennessee Society (TSDAR) of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), is a nonprofit, non-political women’s service organization dedicated to preserving American history, securing America’s future through education, and fostering patriotism.
As one of the most inclusive genealogical societies in the country, DAR boasts 190,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the United States and internationally. Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible for membership.
