The early D7F's had trans issues (up to around S/N 5,000 something) The problem was they used the trans from the D7E which was a low speed/high torque trans. Although the D7F is a later model with the improved transmission it still isn't the same as the transmission in the D7G. Just about the only thing that I can see that would swap are the final drive parts, but then again who's to say that the finals in the F are in good enough shape.?
