Is there a time limit within which an energy company should issue the final bill?
We switched from British Gas to Octopus at the beginning of December and have been advised it will take 6 weeks to issue the final bill even though we have a smart meter and BG agreed with the final meter reading 2 days after the switch happened. Needless to say our account is £1k in credit and after calculating our expected final bill it is only expected to come to around £350 (easy to calculate as the smart meter tells us what we used between the date of the last bill and the switch date).
