Novel Design of BCD to Excess-3 Code Converter in Quantum Dots Cellular Automata (QCA)
Hello, I have tried to start up my PC recently and I get the message that my boot system has failed due to the fact it's missing the file "\BCD". I have contacted the microsoft company to report this issue no one can help me without my product code, or a disc/USB with the windows 8 system...
The BCD store is kept in the System partition, which is Fat32 and does not have a drive letter. The BCD template is in the C:\Windows\Boot. I am going to have to stick with the problem arising because of the multiple Fat32 partitions you have on the system. Try removing the Phone Card and the other drive that contains all the Fat32 partitions.

The BCD file did exist on my system, but I figured it'd be better to generate a new one, so I used the rd /s /q C:\Boot command - using the command prompt on the Windows 8.1 recovery disc - to remove the old BCD file.
BCD addresses each partitions using the GUID so if it changed, all BCD reference to the OS drive will be invalidated. To fix this, either a Windows installation disc or "System Repair Disc" is needed. The important part is the disc should match the OS installed in your system.
