Hello, everyone! The other night a friend asked me if "We had an afternoon tea" was good. I thought it should be "We had afternoon tea". However, I did a google search and both appeared. Could anyone tell me if there is a difference? Thanks in advance!
Hello, everyone! I am wondering if the sentence "The deadline is tomorrow/November 5 at 3.30 in the afternoon" is correct or the preposition "by" should be used instead of "at" given that a deadline, by definition, carries the meaning of "no later than", which would be the meaning of "by" in this case. Thank you so much for your help in advance.
