Thanks for the response. Since your apps and background changed, Windows may have loaded a temporary profile. To check: Open File Explorer (Win + E) and go to C:\Users. Do you see a new user folder like TEMP or DefaultUser0 instead of your usual username? If yes, sign out and log back in to see if your original profile loads.
