There are a lot of “ifs” here. Personally, I would chose a 6 cylinder non-turbo car over a 4 cylinder turbo, in gas or diesel. Turbos on gas engines are not necessarily more troublesome. Even Chrysler built a successful turb model in their gas powered K car series. However, there were a number of problems with the 4 cyl.
