Salado was first incorporated in 1867 for the sole purpose of building a bridge across Salado Creek. In 2000, the citizens of Salado voted in favor of reincorporation, before which it was a census-designated place.

Our Salado site is home to our tasting room, our Texas cheese shop and our bistro and features wonderful vintage buildings, an incredible garden, and true Texas hospitality.

The Historic Village of Salado, Texas is located along I-35 between Waco and Austin and is just two hours south of Dallas. Salado plays host to many Texas Festivals and is a beautiful destination for a day trip, a weekend stay, or a quick stop on your way to Magnolia in Waco.
