The Nikon does have somewhat ugly bokeh, but the Nokton gets dinged on that as well (personally, I found the Nokton bokeh perfectly satisfactory). Maybe you should get a 50/1.2 for close and medium range shots with lots of bokeh - I've read that it has nice OOF areas.

I wish Nikon had copped the design of the OM-4T or other camera for easier AE use. My old Canon T70 offered fairly sophisticated AE modes along with shutter speed readout in 1/3 stop steps. And while it didn't offer exposure compensation per se, the same thing could be accomplished by using the pushbuttons to change the ISO.
The Nikon is the best as it's coating is NIC ( Nikon's version of multi-coated) and slightly more scratch resistant than the others mentioned. The mount is also slimmer than most. The ranking of the others from best to last is Hoya, Promaster and Tiffen (usually uncoated).
Having reluctantly sold my Nikon gear to get a small rf rig for widesand normals, I found a real bargain F2AS. Because the DP-12 meterdoesn't work, and because it was in the sale, I got it for less thanthe cost of a Sekonic L308B. I bought a lens to go with it, of course,but I just want the one.....
