Hi, I would like to know what you would have to replace in a 1968 firebird to convert it into a 1969 camaro? A complete list of parts that would have to be changed or details from anyone who has tried to do this would be helpful and much appreciated. Thx
I can't tell you the difference, but I know they are different from a pace car forum discussion years ago I followed. The picture for the firebird version doesn't remind me of any pictures in that discussion, Scott's spare parts picture is the real deal.

I mean besides the engine choices and the "beak" in the front of the firebird, are there really any differences, in the way they ride, etc.? Thank You in Advance, Sean
This is a 1969 Firebird. The steering column has a long black plug that fastens it to the wiring harness. Zoom in photo of the plug. Right above the red circle is a black plug that goes to the gauges. It is barely visible in the photo below. The wiring harness lays in a plastic tube that is cut from end to end. It is above the steering column.
I just bought a decent 68 Firebird which I don't want, but am wondering how hard it would be to make it into a Camaro, all except the Title and VIN. I know the quarters, hood, grille and tail light panel, but what about interior, and can I bolt Camaro body parts on without hacking the car to pieces and ruining the car.
