Latrobe was the birthplace and childhood home of children's television personality Fred Rogers and former professional golfer Arnold Palmer. The banana split was invented there by David Strickler in 1904. Latrobe is also home to the training camp of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It is a liberal arts school that sits on about 200 acres 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh in Latrobe, Pa. the home of one of golf greatest players Arnold Palmer. We visited the centerpiece of the college, the Basilica of St. Vincent Archabbey, built in the late 1890's.
