@gengo I see "mention" as the main verb and "be" as an auxiliary verb in "it can also be mentioned". Am I wrong? I'm not that good at labeling grammatical parts, so I can't be sure. Maybe I'm the one who is wrong.

The construction is just like that of the present perfect: Verb to have + past participle (third column) but a gerund present participle is added. In the other case you are using two gerunds present participles. GS
