On Gentoo with sysvinit + OpenRC, that helper can be either the seatd daemon or the elogind daemon, and, because you have chosen a desktop profile, and that profile sets the elogind USE flag, it will be the latter.
Hopefully with this, I can fix the audio on gentoo so I can use that as my daily driver. Also saw that sof-firmware got updated to 1.15.1, and I didn't need to copy any libs from the arch package.
