I have some of the Ergon GE-1 Evo lock on grips. Does anyone know if it's okay to drill/fill/remove the end of the Ergon sleeve, leaving the bar end empty/open so that I can install the plugger tool? The end of the GE1 is the core of the grip, which supports the subtle outward flair of the grip. This part of the grip cannot be removed.
