My recommendation, based on 25+ years of driving Toyota 4WD vehicles, is to stick with the OEM Denso air filter. Same with the oil filter - stick with the OEM Denso filters, whether your engine is the single-VVTi version with the spin-on filter, or the dual-VVTi version with the cartridge style filter.

Thank God for Google: I think I found the answer - "It actually stands for National. Toyota changes their cars a bit for each region. Cars they sell (or are brought into) in CA have to get the special emmissions stuff. Its all related to emissions. (Natl) = Nationwide (SE) = Southeast (GS) = Gulf States" Is this true and are there any differences in the vehicle when I try to buy one?
